# Referrals

> Give a friend a first-week discount. Earn Pass credit.

# Referrals

Your friend pays \$1 for the first week, then \$3/week. You earn \$3 of Pareto Pass credit after their first successful full \$3 renewal payment.

Without a referral, a new Pass costs \$3/week from the first week.

## Share your link

1. Open your [dashboard](https://paretoinference.com/dashboard).
2. Select **Copy link** in the referral section.
3. Send the link to your friend before they create an account.

Your friend gets their own referral link after sign-up. You do not need a paid Pass to share your link or keep credit.

The offer is for a referred account with no previous paid Pass period. You cannot refer yourself. Once Pareto records your referral choice, it cannot change. Check the final price in Stripe before payment.

## Track your reward

| Status   | Meaning                                                                         |
| -------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Pending  | Your friend's first \$1 payment succeeded. The \$3 reward is not available yet. |
| Unlocked | Their first full \$3 renewal payment succeeded. The credit is earned.           |
| Invalid  | A cancellation, payment failure, refund, dispute, or fraud prevents the reward. |

The first renewal is about seven days after the first payment. The countdown is an estimate. Payment success controls the unlock. A renewal covered by credit does not qualify.

A failed renewal makes the reward Invalid. A successful payment retry can restore it. Cancellation before qualification invalidates the reward. Cancellation after qualification does not remove earned credit.

## Use your credit

Credits add together, apply automatically to future Pareto Pass bills, and do not expire. Each \$3 credit covers one week. You cannot withdraw cash.

Credit cannot pay for your first Pass purchase.

**Available to use** excludes credit set aside for a bill. Used rewards stay **Unlocked** in the history. Select **Refresh rewards** to check the latest status.

Refunds, disputes, or fraud can reverse credit. If you already used it, future earned credit covers the adjustment. We will not charge your card for that adjustment.
