Troubleshooting

The Pareto application programming interface (API) uses Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP). Each HTTP response has a status number.

401 Unauthorized

The API key is missing or invalid.

1. Confirm that the app sends the key.
2. Remove spaces before or after the key.
3. Ask your Pareto contact for a new key if the error continues.

The app has no custom base URL field

Use an app that lets you set a custom base URL.

​

The app requires a different API format

The Pareto API uses the OpenAI Chat Completions format. An app that requires a different format is not compatible with the Pareto API.

Other errors

Send the HTTP status number and request time to your Pareto contact. Do not send your API key.
