An organization is a shared account for a team. It has its own credits, API keys, billing, and usage. Your Personal account stays separate. All members are admins. Each admin can manage credits, billing, API keys, and members.

Create an organization

  1. Open your dashboard.
  2. Open the account menu at the top of the sidebar.
  3. Select Create organization.
  4. Enter a name with 1 to 100 characters.
  5. Select Create organization.
A new organization has no credits. Select it in the account menu, then buy credits in Billing. See Buy credits.

Switch accounts

Open the account menu and select Personal or an organization. The dashboard then shows the credits, API keys, billing, and usage of that account. Each browser tab keeps its own selection. An API key belongs to the account that you selected when you created it. Requests with an organization key use the organization’s credits.

Invite a member

  1. Select the organization in the account menu.
  2. Open Settings.
  3. Select Invite member.
  4. Enter the person’s email address.
  5. Select Invite member.
The person gets an invitation email. They open the link and sign in or sign up with the invited email address. The organization then shows in their account menu. Members and pending invitations share 10 seats. To free a seat, remove a member or select Cancel invitation.

Remove a member or leave

In Settings, select Remove for a member, or select Leave organization. Then confirm. That person loses dashboard access to the organization. An organization must keep one admin. The only admin cannot leave. API keys that a member copied stay valid. After a member leaves, rotate or revoke the keys that they used. See Manage API keys.

Auto-refill in an organization

Auto-refill charges the card of the admin who saved it. To change the settings, another admin must first select Update card and save their own card. If the admin who saved the card leaves or is removed, auto-refill pauses. Pareto does not charge that card. Another admin can select Update card, then select Resume auto-refill.
